A very complex and delicate project which included a new construction within the walls of an existing building singled out for conservation.  To add to the complexity a basement  had to be added under the existing structure thereby creating a house with four levels.  This is a house with plenty of character and special rare qualities.  Natural materials were used throughout the house.  Much of the work was completed by unique craftsman, some of which also create work for the Vatican in Italy.
